Okay, ya'll! It's been a full week and I've been thinking of the best way to share on the blog. After hearing back from a few of you on both Tiktok and Instagram, I realized that two posts per week is something that will be doable and also helpful for me to share in this space. Now, let's do this thing!
I've been sharing on my IG stories the different projects we'll be starting up in the next few weeks, which includes our bedroom and my closets. These two spaces haven't been touched and need a little shaping lol! B is usually very hands-off when it comes to home design decisions. He really trusts my vision for our home, which is super sweet if you ask me haha But when I told him I'd be working on our bedroom space, he was very adamant that he didn't want a dark tone in our bedroom. Y'all know how much I love a bold paint, but I really want to make sure that he feels happy in our bedroom too :) Plus, the entire cloffice is Vintage Vogue by Behr and that area is rather large.
I wanted a warm tone that will compliment the green, since the windows in our bedroom face north and that will ensure that the paint tone looks the same throughout the day, regardless of where the sun is facing. Our bedroom has an alcove behind our headboard and it's practically screaming for wallpaper. After a little online research, I landed on this gorgeous wallpaper from Anthropologie. It pairs well with the Vintage Vogue in our cloffice area and it's just enough bold to create a framed effect around our bed that adds depth.
Here are a couple photos of our current very bland space. It's giving boring. But as visible in the photos, the alcove has some depth and wallpaper will look very lovely here. I'm excited to change it up in here!
We decided on a warm gold to accent the wallpaper. I'm very much a Behr paint gal and their 'Saffron Strands' is a perfect match! What I love about this paint color is that it doesn't feel dark but it's still very much a bold tone. I'm still debating on nightstands. We have a sleigh bed and these are the matching nightstands, however, I'm not big on matchy matchy and think that maybe a glass + brass one like this one from West elm might be a better fit!
I will be painting my walk-in closet area this color too, adding wallpaper behind the shelving, and a small crystal chandelier to brighten up the space + add some glam! My pant and blazer closet also has shelving but I'm not sure whether or not I want to paint that space too. Here are some awkward before's 😬😬
I'll be sharing color swatches and progress videos on both IG and Tiktok, so be sure to follow along there!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead <3

Keila
