Is this still on?!

In a spur-of-the-moment type thing, as is most of the things I do, I decided to turn on my ol' blog again! For those of you who have been following along for years, you might remember this space as 'Mommy in Milwaukee', then during my graduate school era where I changed it over to my name 'Keila Tirado-Leist', which I ended up keeping because I liked the idea of owning this domain too-- to present day.

Now, I'm not saying that I'm blogger again lol, but I did come back to the point of why I started sharing a blog in the first place: I did it for me. It was always so great to look back on photos and read my birth stories in my own words, challenging days of medical school, and every mundane day that I decided to document because it felt good to celebrate those milestones too. This blog helped me through so many challenging moments and it's how I've made some of my closest friendships in a time when I felt the most isolated as a new mom.

And now we're in a very different phase of our life where we've purchased our forever home on five acres, learning to grow our own food, raising three under eight now (how'd that happen?!), starting my own natural dyeing business (check it out here!), and just doing life together after a long nine years of medical training for Benjamin. Did I mention that this all happened right as the pandemic began?! And we are so grateful to have made it this far!

I'll keep it short and sweet for now ๐Ÿ˜‰ and will not make any promises about posting schedules (I've learned my lesson!) But I'm happy to re-open this space that holds so many memories + moments of ours. Also, please no judgment on my old posts ๐Ÿ˜‚ But feel free to browse if you'd like :)

Here are some photos we had taken by the รผber talented Samantha last summer when we first moved in! So happy to have these photos to mark this new time in our lives.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
