If you follow me on Instagram then you know that we're undergoing a living room refresh! You guys, I am so excited! So if you remember we have lived here for almost a year now and during that time I've slowly been making this place into our home. I shared our gallery wall in this post and at the time I loved how it turned out! However, I mentioned in the post how I wasn't too big a fan of our living room paint color. But if you're like us and you know that you'll be moving in the next 2-3 years then it is hard to justify repainting a living area that has just been redone in recent years. That's when I decided to work around the color and the furniture that we had. Right now we have a bunch of pieces we've gotten as hand-me-downs or some that we've purchased because we picked them out. After a year of living here we finally decided that it was time to switch it up because there's no better time than the present to make this room into a place our family will love to be in. And make this space a special retreat for us! I'm so excited to have this space repainted to a color that we love and to get some grown-up furniture pieces too lol!
For the refresh, I've always loved a bright and simple color palette. I love earthy tones with pops of color. Naturally, I've been going nuts over on Pinterest pinning ideas for inspiration. I am so excited to begin this makeover and will be sharing it in separate posts on here!
