Lucia's nursery

Hello! It's Christmas week and I know I say this a lot but I can't believe it! I'm excited that this year Benjamin will be home and I have a few things planned like Christmas breakfast! But I'm even more excited to see the look on the boys faces when they see their presents under the tree. It's the first year that Gabriel really understands what this season is all about and it's been so incredibly sweet seeing him experience it. But for today's post I am finally sharing Lucia's room! It has definitely been a work in progress and I love this space. It's become my favorite room to hang out and watch them all play! I'm so thankful for this house that's becoming a home :)

Sources for the nursery:  I decided to go with a 3-in-1 convertible white crib since the room is painted a dark brown and I figured a white crib would brighten up the space a bit more. The breathable bumper comes in handy and it's nice to know I can leave it in when Lucia is sleeping. The dresser is over a hundred years old and it was gift from my sister. Initially, it was only stained wood but I decided to sand it and give it a little color! I love how it turned out (the color is 'pageant green' by Behr paint). I removed the old knobs and added some from Anthropologie. The pink shag rug is from Lorena Canals rugs c/o and it's washable! I love how it brings the room together and every purchase of this particular style awards a scholarship to a child in need in India.

When I decided to move this bookshelf from Ikea into the room I was worried it would be too dark but with the added rose gold  lights, gold circle shelf from Target and other brighter knick knacks it's a fun and usable addition to her room. I love being able to have space for all of their books! The ceramic giraffe and ceramic elephant I used as bookends are also from Target. I thrifted a lot of the items like her rocker and the children's table set is from Ikea. The Frida doll is from Etsy. The fairytale playgym c/o is from Finn and Emma and I appreciate that they use organic wood without chemicals. It is Lucia's favorite toy! So far this is the busy hub every morning after we do school and read. It's been so fun to watch them play together especially now that Lucia is crawling all over the place.
Now someone please tell me how did crawling already happen?!

if you want to come back to this post in addition to being able to pin specific photos you can pin this image also!

Wishing you an amazing Christmas week and if I don't pop in before then, Merry Christmas!
