I don't consider myself to be extra-crafty, or a seamstress by any means! But I love trying out new things, and challenging myself with new projects. I stumbled across an extremely gorgeous and talented mommy-to-be on IG that makes her own maternity dresses, and I was so inspired to finish a few sewing projects I already started. This maxi dress was one of them. I didn't use a pattern, instead I went off a non-maternity maxi I already had and a top that I really loved. I then made a pattern of my own.
However, I am linking you up to this pattern that can be tweaked and used to make a similar dress! A pattern is not set in stone- you can switch it up, lengthen or shorten and make it your own. I purchased quite a bit of this fabric a few months ago from my favorite online fabric retailer. I went to check if it was available but it's since then been sold out. However, there are tons of other great multi-colored prints you can work with. I encourage you to try it- you might surprise yourself with what you can do! Don't forget to have fun!
