


Last week I shared my vegetarian chickpea recipe with the help of my Door to Door Organics box! I cannot say enough good things about this service! I love it! This week I wanted to share a few tips on how to make the perfect smoothie bowl and a quick recipe for you to try! I've had to try making all sorts of smoothie bowls in order to find the right consistency. And finally after trial and error the secret is: bananas! I wish I would have figured this out sooner but alas better late than never right?! So here are my tips and hopefully they help you out a bit too!
- freeze your bananas without the peel
- make sure the bananas are ripe (the riper the banana the better)
- chop up your bananas before blending them (it makes it a lot easier to blend)
- when you're blending it helps to add the ingredients one at a time especially if you don't have a fancy blender haha! Also, add the soy milk a bit at a time it'll help with the consistency.
- TOP it with everything you love!
For this recipe you'll need (all frozen fruit):
2 bananas
1 cup blueberries,raspberries and blackberries
1 1/2 cup soymilk
Blend and top with whatever you want!
