Hello, you guys! I know it's been a hot minute since I last wrote but there has been lots going on over here. In between scary high fevers and full-body rashes I think I've had my year-full of scares! Needless to say I've needed some time to breathe and take care of us. I've had this post pending for quite some time! As we do every year we visited the Elegant Farmer apple orchard and it was fantastic! It is so wild how much more Gabriel can do now and how independent he's become. Check out how little he was last year ! Also, having Cristian there for the first time was extra special.
I couldn't let a trip to the apple orchard go by without taking the obligatory pic of my feet amongst the fallen apples ;)
Oh and Gabriel climbed on just about every tree! We just let him run around to his hearts content. We also ate a lot that day! But for some reason I didn't snap any pictures of the yummy pulled-pork sandwiches, apple cider donuts and apples smothered in caramel! I think we were really hungry and there just wasn't time, haha!
He insisted on carrying the basket at all times!
Oh, just taste-testing. It's serious business you know.
Check out those three studs. My heart in a frame.
I hope these last few weeks have treated you all well. I've had a few serious convos over on Instagram and lots of time to meditate on blogging and why I do what I do. These past few days it's come down to grounding myself and focusing on what matters most. I had so many of you share your hearts with me and several of you mentioned perspectives that I had never thought about. And I am so incredibly thankful for that! One of you in particular told me that perhaps I should focus on how this has all been a creative outlet for me and not focus solely on impacting others. Furthermore, that my (hopefully) positive impact on those of you reading will flow naturally because I'm being authentic by definition. It's been an unexpected rollercoaster ride for me, but I'm so thankful that I've taken the leap to share bits of our journey because I've learned so much about myself and others in the process.
Wishing you all an amazing weekend ahead! You all rock!
